W05 Reflection

This week’s A Hero’s Journey video really got me thinking about what success actually means and how it’s not just about money or recognition, but about finding purpose and meaning in what we do. One of my biggest takeaways was that every person has the potential to live their own hero’s journey to face challenges, grow from them, and make a difference in the lives of others. I liked how the video compared life to a journey instead of a race. It reminded me that what really matters is who you become along the way, not just what you achieve.

Something else that stood out to me was the message about calling. The video talked about finding work that matters and doing something that aligns with your values. That really hit home because I’ve been thinking a lot about what kind of work I want to do in the future. I don’t just want a job; I want to build something meaningful something that helps people or makes life better in some way. From the Mastery Skill, Character, or Luck lesson, I learned that true mastery doesn’t come from luck. It comes from showing up every day, working hard, and constantly improving. That idea really connects to the hero’s journey it’s about discipline, not shortcuts.

Overall, this week helped me realize that my goals shouldn’t just be about success, but about growth, purpose, and service. I want to live a life where I look back and know I made a difference, even in small ways. That, to me, is what it means to live a hero’s journey.
