W06 Reflection

This week’s study, So You Want to Be an Entrepreneur , really opened my eyes to what it takes to actually live that kind of life. I used to think being an entrepreneur was all about having a cool idea and working hard until you made a ton of money. But after going through this week’s readings and videos, I realized there’s way more to it than that. It’s not just about business it’s about who you become in the process. One thing that really stood out to me was how much of entrepreneurship is about character. You have to build habits, stay disciplined, and have the guts to keep going even when things don’t work out. I liked how it talked about the difference between skill, luck, and character. Skill and luck can help you sometimes, but character is what actually keeps you moving forward. That hit home for me because I’ve had times where things didn’t go as planned, and the only thing that got me through was not giving up. Another big takeaway was that you need to know why you’re...

This week’s A Hero’s Journey video really got me thinking about what success actually means and how it’s not just about money or recognition, but about finding purpose and meaning in what we do. One of my biggest takeaways was that every person has the potential to live their own hero’s journey to face challenges, grow from them, and make a difference in the lives of others. I liked how the video compared life to a journey instead of a race. It reminded me that what really matters is who you become along the way, not just what you achieve. Something else that stood out to me was the message about calling. The video talked about finding work that matters and doing something that aligns with your values. That really hit home because I’ve been thinking a lot about what kind of work I want to do in the future. I don’t just want a job; I want to build something meaningful something that helps people or makes life better in some way. From the Mastery Skill, Character, or Luck lesson, ...

This week really made me think about what actually matters in life. The readings and videos from “How Will You Measure Your Life” talked a lot about success and what it really means. It made me realize that being successful isn’t just about making money or having nice things it’s about living a life that feels meaningful and being proud of who you are. One of the biggest things that stood out to me was how small choices every day can shape who you become. It’s not just the big, life-changing moments that matter it’s the little stuff that adds up over time. That hit me because I know there are times I take the easy route or focus too much on short-term goals. I want to do better at making choices that match my values and who I want to be. Another thing that stood out was balance. It’s easy to get caught up in work or school and forget about the people and things that really matter like family, faith, and health. I want to make sure I’m keeping those things a priority no matter ho...

Hunter Robison 10/03/25 This week’s lesson on honesty and business ethics really made me think about the kind of person I want to be, especially if I ever run my own business. One of the main things I learned is that honesty isn’t just about telling the truth it’s also about being consistent and doing the right thing even when nobody’s watching. That part hit me because it’s easy to talk about being honest, but actually living it out every day can be a lot harder, especially when things get stressful or money is involved. Something that really stood out to me was how important trust and reputation are in business. If people know they can rely on you, that’s worth more than money in the long run. Once you lose that trust, it’s really hard to get it back. I also realized that the right choice isn’t always the most convenient or the one that makes you the most profit, but it’s always the one that will make you feel good about yourself later. Writing out my “I will never” and “I wil...

This week I watched Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture, and it really made me think about dreams and what they mean. Randy was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams, and I think it’s because he never gave up on them. He treated them like real goals instead of just things to wish for. When he ran into roadblocks, he looked at them as lessons or opportunities to grow instead of reasons to quit. His attitude and determination were a big part of why he reached so many of the things he set out to do. I honestly think dreaming is really important. Dreams give us something to look forward to and push us to keep moving forward. Without them, life might feel boring or like we’re just going through the motions. Even if you don’t reach every dream, just trying for them can shape your life in a good way. One of my childhood dreams has been to create my own business. I always thought it would be amazing to build something of my own and see it grow into something successful. I still believ...

Entrepreneurial Journal Blog This week I learned how important it is to keep an Entrepreneurial Journal and why it matters. From Jeff Sandefer’s article, I realized that journaling isn’t just about writing down what happened, but about asking myself why. Taking the time to reflect helps me remember what I learned, think about my goals, and stay on track. I can see how this practice will help me make better decisions and stay motivated over time. One of the main ideas that stood out to me from the course materials was that entrepreneurs are problem solvers. Instead of waiting for opportunities, they create them. That really connected with me because it showed me that success doesn’t always come from luck it comes from hard work, creativity, and being willing to take chances. I also liked the examples that showed how small ideas can grow into something much bigger when someone takes action. I’m looking forward to learning more about how to think like an entrepreneur and how to sp...
